I have the old bathroom with its silverfish,
pecan trees on a slope, the evening grass blue
to conjure, from that apartment I don’t miss.
I have the old bathroom with its silverfish,
but what image carries this afternoon’s wish?
A vinegar and soap gnat trap in shallow dish.
I’m happy, your pictures say. I would be, if I were you.
I have the old bathroom with its silverfish,
pecan trees on a slope, the evening grass blue.
